Mood board

This is a mood board I created to increase the amount of ideas I can gather to improve on my final piece. The board mostly consists of many different text styles with some incorporating images as a background or as the center of the design which the artist has then worked around, I will use this mood board as a guide for when it comes to creating either my final pieces design and usage of text or using an image as the main focus of whole piece.

7 Deadly Sins

through out this project I've used a large variety of graphic techniques on paper but haven't used any different graphical programs apart from Photoshop until we started to use an application called Light zone which is a programme where you can manipulate a photo by changing the photos zone mapping which increases how much the shadows effect the overall image to then sharpening the surrounding image to make it stand out from the backgrounds shadows.

7 Deadly Sins - City Representation

7 Deadly sins

In this piece I used the same concept I used for the animal representation of the 7 deadly sins, but in this piece instead of animals I used major Cities from around the world which are associated with each sin:

• China for Wrath- They have the world largest army
• Mexico for Gluttony- As figures collected say that Mexico is the most obese country in south 
• Saudi Arabia for Greed- As they have the majority of the world Oil
• Russia for Envy- They are trying to become worlds only superpower
• France for Lust- Paris is known as the city of love
• Greece for Sloth- Greece has been shown to be one of the laziest country's in Europe
• America for Pride- American people are very patriotic and proud of there country

7 Deadly Sins Representation

In this piece I took certain images of animals which I think represent each deadly sin perfectly:

• Lion for Pride
• Bear for Wrath
• Pig for Gluttony
• Peacock for Lust
• Sloth for Sloth
• Snake for Envy
• Racoon for Greed

I think these animals all represent each sin very well, due to them all being associated with many different titles weather its them being labelled as dangerous or being lazy it shows that the sins don't just apply to humans but also apply to the way in which each animal behaves.#

7 deadly sins

these final pieces are all done on Photoshop and all represent a sin from the sins given, I took 3 of the sins and when out and took pictures which I thought representing each sin either fully or partly, the sins I mainly focused on where Gluttony, Greed, Pride and Wrath I represented these with many different images  as with wrath I used boxing, which through out my development of the actual piece I changed what the final look would be developing my idea further I used this as reference, along with the McDonalds sign for gluttony.

Poster Design 3

 

In this final poster design I have took inspiration from both first previous poster designs as I took the use of putting letters and words inside the T for typography which then coincides with what I then did in in my second poster design where I used colours which I though contrasted each other but this time I used black and white and where the writing over laps with the background the text is then changed to contrast that of the background. I also used the use of artist in this piece which I took from my second poster design as well as the one talked about before.

This piece consisted of me using a typography artist who I chose to be Milton Glaser instead of my first design where I only used letters, so in this piece I used squares with the main colours being a white and light grey which contrasts with the vibrant red background and the many different bold black writing fonts I used, I also used an actual picture of Milton Glaser to give a face to the name.
