Green Screen Animation

In this animation I applied the use of a green screen.
To do this I clamped the green screen down onto a table and then placed my plastic screen over the top of the green screen, I then poured paint over the plastic screen in the shape of a number one.
To limit the amount of mess and to avoid any damage to the green screen so it could be used again. It took me a couple of times to actually complete this animation as I had to remove the paint I had previously used which was extremely time consuming, but after I had removed the paint for the second time mainly because, my arm kept gettin the shot or I had done the number one either to big or too small, on my third attempt I had successfully done the number one the right size as I marked on the plastic screen in faint pencil were the cameras range was when recording.

Introduction To Animation

Introduction To Animation

The first animated projection of an animation was created in France, by Charles-Émile Reynaud who was a  science teacher. In 1877 Reynaud created what he called the Praxinoscope and used this in what he called the Théâtre Optique in December 1888 ,which was seen as the first cinema, and on the 28th October 1892, Charles-Émile Reynaud projected the first animation in public.

But then in 1928 one of the most famous cartoonist Walt Disney created the  cartoon Steamboat Willie starring Mickey Mouse this was the first animation  to use what is known as a click track during editing which apparently produced better synchronism with the cartoon Disney then went on to created the first sound and color animated film which was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs but the first actual animated film ever made on standard motion-picture film was Humorous Phases of Funny Faces in 1906 by a newspaper cartoonist called J. Stuart Blackton

Exploding 4 Stop Motion

Exploding 4 Stop Motion:

This animation consisted of me using pencils in the shape of a  four. when doing this shot frame animation i had to use a tripod to keep the camera in place without moving but in this case it didn't work very well, but the end result i eventually ended up with i though suited the image perfectly as the jumpy cutting of the images and with the pencil's constantly getting further and further away from there center of the original 4, i also used a variation of different shades with the pencils as some are either lightly colored or darkly colored i used this to give my animation a bit more effect and feel for when i added the neon effect over the images.

TV Ident Research

TV Ident Research:

BBC 2:
The BBC Two Personality idents were a set of idents used on BBC Two from 19 November 2001 until 18 February 2007. The idents were produced by the Lambie-Nairn branding agency, The idents feature an ivory sans serif white '2' in a yellow environment and performing a variety of tasks.

Channel 4:
Channel 4 unveiled a brand new look for its main channel on Tuesday 29th September 2015, featuring new idents inspired by the deconstruction of the iconic Lambie Nairn.

BBC One:
The history of BBC television idents begins in the early 1950s, when the BBC first displayed a logo between programmes to identify its service. As new technology has become available, these devices have evolved from simple still black and white images to the sophisticated full color short films. With the arrival of digital software, branding is perceived by broadcasters to be much more important, meaning that idents need to stand out from the competition.

ITV:
ITV began each with their own identities with its own idents to create an individual identity until the late 1990s when ITV began to introduce a consolidated presentation package as part of a dedicated effort to unify its identity.

Green Screen Research

Green Screen Research:

While using a green screen you can shoot a video with a single colored backdrop (blue or green is often used) Chroma keying, sometimes known as color keying, is the process of singling out a particular color in an electronic image and then using computer software to make that color transparent. This allows another image, which can be just about anything you can imagine, to show through.

1.Full animation- refers to the process of producing high-quality traditionally animated films that regularly use detailed drawings and plausible movement, having a smooth animation.

2.Limited animation- involves the use of less detailed or more stylized drawings and methods of movement usually a choppy or "Skippy" movement animation.

3.Live-action/animation- is a technique combining hand-drawn characters into live action shots or live action actors into animated shots.

MTV animation

MTV animation:

With this animation i used the famous MTV logo i took most of my inspiration from my previously researched idents of MTV which mostly consist of bright colors or mind bending effects to get this effect; I pasted the image into Revelation pasting several of them, i then picked colors which i think contrasted each other an changed the color of each frame from its original black and white image to that off a neon contrasting color scheme which overall took up overall 8 frames. After i had done this with the colors i then flipped the colors so instead i used the previously used colors and flipped each of the colors used to give the frames more depth this took up another 8 frames.

Using quotes

In this is picked four either movie quotes or just quotes in general said by people which inspire, the four quotes used were:

Scarface - "say hello it my little friend"
Breaking bads Heisenberg - "am not in danger, I am the danger"
Bruce Lee - "I don't fear the man who has practiced 1000 kicks once, I fear the man who's practiced one kick a 1000 times"
Pulp fictions Juels Winnfield - "you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee"

I used these quotes with black and white cutout drawings of each individual person who says each quote with he use if sharpe and fineliner I then wet washed the ink to create a smudge effect around the drawings and over the text.
